Teddy Grohovsky is a Senior at Georgia College, majoring in art with a concentration in Graphic Design. Growing up in Roswell, Georgia, his work explores the combination between his love for the outdoors and Streetwear through his clothing brand Open Air. He plans to work in creative spaces for work after graduation.

Project Statement

Open Air is a sustainable outdoor brand that combines urban influence with functional design, offering clothing that is both practical and stylish. With a focus on performance, comfort, and aesthetics, Open Air encourages individuals to experience the outdoors in a way that feels authentic to them, while providing confidence through fashionable, versatile pieces. Our mission is to make outdoor exploration accessible for everyone, whether they’re hiking in the wilderness or navigating city streets. Beyond fashion, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of environmental stewardship. Through our brand, we emphasize the need to protect and preserve the natural world, inspiring customers to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives. To support this cause, a portion of every sale is donated to wildlife and nature preservation efforts. By wearing Open Air, customers not only look good but also contribute to the ongoing effort to safeguard the planet for future generations.

Artist Statement

From a young age, I have been driven by a passion for style. Each morning, the challenge of assembling the perfect outfit for school became a competition to stand out and showcase individuality through fashion. Over the years, this love for fashion evolved, and a trip to the national parks deepened my connection to the outdoors. Experiencing the serene beauty of nature instilled a profound appreciation for the environment.
With Open Air, my brand merges two passions fashion and the natural world-into one cohesive brand.
While functionality is prioritized in outdoor wear, style is what sets Open Air apart. The firsthand experience of the national parks sparked a commitment to protecting and preserving the planet.
